Steemit - Past | Present | Future

I joined the Steemit community back in July 2017. Here is my introductory article. It was quite the experience. Learned a lot. Actually Steemit forced me to learn about blockchain and decentrailzed system that are just and fair. I loved it back then. I created a whole community in my home country Pakistan. We even presented Steemit in one of the business incubation idea workshop. Ofcourse no one understood what we were saying. However, me and my team infini8y loved every bit of it because it was a new and vast universe for us. I even wrote an article about it. And the main reason was that we can write without thinking that our work will be stolen or copied without permission. We were supposed to provide links, proper references and credits to whom ever work we were copying or referring.

But then came the time (I don't know what happened. Greed I think) when the community got derailed. We started posting ridiculous articles and the only goal was to get upvotes and make some crypto money.
For what it is worth, I really appreciate the OCD initiative to bring back the basics to the Steemit Community. You guys have really motivated to rejoin the forces. I assure you that I will keep adding original content to the community. I will also try to reassemble my team and storm the steemit community with some good writings.
I believe Steemit has great potential. I have seen some of the pioneers still trying to keep it alive and no doubt they have done an amazing job. There is a lot that can be done. This could be the answer to stop plagiarism. And I want to be part of this positive change.

Lastly, Whoever has initiated and running the OCD platform, I thank you for your humble and awesome service.
