When we walk in a thick forest we sometimes see bees hives or honeycombs but have you ever consider these hives are being produce by honey bees???. See how the honey bees produce their combs in the next paragraph.

Honey bees construct their honeycombs with wax which is secreted from their glands found under their abdomen or bellies. They secret wax from their stomach in the production of honeycomb or bee hives.
These honey bees can be regarded as an engineering machine because of it's unique and rare ability to produce honeycomb from its abdomen. These honeycomb which they produce is like a nest were they store all their honeys in.

For a farmer to harvest honey he have to remove the entire honeycomb first because the honey comb serves as a shield to the bees.
The Queen bee is always in the comb because she also stores her eggs insdie the comb. She is the one responsible for the laying of eggs

These bees honey have been very useful to humans today and it has various health benefits. The honey can be applied to the skin to make it smooth and can also be eaten to aid quick digestion. All thanks goes to the honey bees who have been a source of inspiration to scientists and also a great source of health benefits to humans.
