MY INTERPRETATION OF BETTER LIFE

"Flashback to December 2023"

I still get goosebumps thinking about the Street Dance Competition in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, where I took home the coveted title of WINNER!

Leading up to the event, I was nervous wreck. Weeks of Intense preparation, perfecting my moves, and rehearsing until exhaustion couldn't shake off the feeling of uncertainty.

As i stepped onto the stage, surrounded by talented dancers, my heart raced. The energy in the room was electric, and I could feel the judges' eyes scrutinizing every steps.

the music started, and I lost myself in the rhythm. my body took over, and I let the music guide me. The crowd cheers and chant fueled my performance, but i couldn't shake off the doubt.

And then,the wait began after 7 days of competing nonstop. The judges deliberated, and the tension was palpable. I thought i'd collapse from anticipation and fear which the emcee was puting fear in us by say "guess who is the winner" and the Dj was playing STAND UP FOR THE CHAMPION.

Finally the emcee too the mic: "And the winner of the Street Dance Competition is......."

Pause. Silence. My heart stopped and i held my crew members together and started pray because we all put in everything into that competition.

The emcee went into the crowd for people to guess the winner and came back to stage.

Pause. Silence again.

The room ERUPTED! Confetti rained down, and the crowd screamed my team name "FAMOUS DANCE CREW". I was in shock and also happy at the same time.

Also two of my students emerge the winners also in the solo category (The two girls in the picture below)👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

Tears of joy streaming down my face, I made my way to the stage with my team, basking in the adoration of the crowd. This moment validated every last-night rehearsal, sacrifice, and every doubt.

Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, i and my team will never forget that unforgettable night.

Conclusion

Living better life is a journey that requires effort, dedication and a willingness to make positive change. Better Life is setting goals and achieving them.
