Pencil drawing, New Competition (No.48) : A Beautiful Friend of Mine

What have you heard about girls that wear glasses...

I've always wanted to surprise this my friend with an artistic piece like this..I never told her I could draw. But I've always thought of surprising her like this with an image of herself.
So, when I saw the Drawing contest post no48..
I thought I should use the avenue to finally do my thoughts.
I quickly rush to my phone's gallery to source for images of her, which I saved from other social media platforms. So, I picked the one I used here.
If it'll be appropriate, I would have shared the photo here. But I don't know. So, let me just stick to the one I made myself.

The materials I used were;

White A4 paper, HB pencil, a 2B pencil, sharpener and an eraser.

You know , when you're trying to recreate an image, you need to avoid unnecessary mistakes, in order not to spoil to whole thing. Which might cause you to start all over. God forbid.😂😂

I started by sketching the middle part of the face , including the glasses and metal rod in front of her head..
I did this using the HB pencil..
The HB pencil is easier to erase in case of any mistake. That's why I like using it first to do faint sketches.

Here, I also sketched out the lips and the fingers just below the face..

Amongst this two clips, I started shading and detailing the metal rod on the first one. Then extended the shading and detailing to the left eye in the next clip..
I also blended the left chick using my fingers to rub the pencil dust over it.

So here, I just did the blending thing on the face and also the background in the first clip . I detailed the left eyebrows too. In the second one, I detailed the right eyebrows and also detailed the lips. Can you see how oily and real they look..

So here I added and detailed the right eye at once...
But I did a little overshading on the right chick. So I had to erase a bit of it before adding my username and watermark in the next clip which is the final result...
Now, I deserve an high-5 🌝🌝
