ColorChallenge SundayPurple -- Ruellia tuberosa --
I found those flowers a while ago back in a garden, when I was with the bicycle on the way back home.(Unfortunately I don't know the name of it.Anyone out there who might know the name of those flowers??)

They are called Mexican Petunias or Ruellia. I have loads growing in my yard, and just can't get rid of them. They are considered an invasive plant here in Florida, as they choke out native plants. Pretty image though! :-)

didnt know that they were a invasive plant.my wife said,they grow easy and have no problem in this climate..
the photo was taken in a front yard and it was full of them.....
They may not be considered invasive where you are, but they take over everything here. I planted some pink ones, which don't seem to spread as wildly, but one day a purple one popped up - it probably came from a neighbor's yard. I didn't know it was considered invasive at the time, but now they have literally taken over a wild area in my back yard.
it is good to know that they grow like crazy.seems as you have to consider it,planting them in your backyard/garden.
if you want to get rid of them,you need to clean the whole area i guess...in warmer climates,certain plants take over other ones,we have one sort of weed(i say) here too.the thais eat it,but it grows like crazy,especially now when it's still raining fair a bit.
