Is it well known to you that your full body weight is approximately 60% of water..?
Water is highly needed for survival. The body has an approximately of 60% water, the brain has 70% water, and the lungs are very close to 90% water. Daily, your body must replace 2.4 liters of water from the food or liquid you take in.
The body uses water in all its organs, cells,spinal cord, joints and tissues to help moderate the body temperature and also to maintain general body functions.
Naturally, water is lost from the body through sweating, breathing, digestion. So, it is very crucial to rehydrate the body by taking water or fruits. The activities you engaged in determines the water you should take in.
WHY YOU NEED TO ALWAYS DRINK WATER

You loose water in your body when you engage in serious exercise or stressful task. Water in the body does not replenish itself. It's your responsibility to have the knowledge of refueling it back. Loosing too much fluid needs high in take of water to maintains the body hydration level.

Drinking enough water helps to wave health risks like urinary tract stone, stomach ulcer, bladder infection etc.

Digestion of food in human body depends solely on water. Even the first stage of digestion (saliva) is a form of water which uses it enzymes to break down food, minerals and nutrients. Until there is good digestion, nutrients and minerals will not be accessible to the body. Water helps to digest soluble fibre, which gives the body the needed nutrients.
WATER HELPS THE JOINT AND SPINAL CORD
Apart from its main functions: to quench thirst maintain the body temperature, Do you know that it makes the body tissue moist too??? Your body should be moist always in order to hydrate the active areas of the body also in the brain, bones and blood. The spinal cord plays important roles in the body, to stand erect/bend, to move etc You should know that when water is not enough at the spinal cord region, there would be frictioning which will make the bones wear out. There is need to hydrate to work as lubricant for the joints.
Proper intake of water will make you excrete easily through defecation, respiration, perspiration. The particles of waste in the digestive tract will be passed out when you take adequate water daily. Water help the kidney and the liver to perform their body :maintanance/regulation functions.

Water is very important in regulating the general functions of the body. However, when you don't drink enough water, it is very possible you are promoting some health problems. Some reasons why you should always drink enough water:
Reduction in body fluids and salt
You body can't function well without the adequate salt and water in the body. When you don't take water regularly, you lost or reduce water and salt in the body. Implications could be: dry mouth or dry eyes.
Urinary tract infections
Drinking little water can causes painful and a times conditions like cystitis and urinary tract infection.
Muscle cramps
Low intake of water do cause the involuntary muscle contractions when nerves that join the muscles does not have enough sodium and water around them.
Fatigue
When you get dehydrated, tiredness is the next thing, you loose your strength as quick as possible. It happens like that because the cells and tissue of the body does not get enough water, so it slow your strength and energy.
**Gaining Weight **
You gain extra weight when you replace thirst with hunger. Lots of people don't know dehydration: when they are kind of weak, the next thing is to chew something to fill the stomach. Such will result in weight gain. It's advisable to observe our body to know when it actually needs water.

For real, there is no precise rule for drinking water. Many meets their daily hydration when they are thirsty while some have the number of cups they drink daily. The truth is this, you can monitor your hydration level with your urine. Once is kind of clear, you are hydrated(thats never enough, always drink enough water) but if it's coloured, you are dehydrated. You need to give yourself full attention for hydration.
