MY PRIMARY SCHOOL DAYS.
My primary school days was spent in St. Davids Anglican Primary School, Oke-Ijebu, Akure in Ondo State. I remembered having slate for writing figure and letter.

Each of us have slates for individual use, just like the present day handouts, pencils, cleaner (a.k.a eraser), sharpener aren't left out so we can come out a complete student.
Some kinds of our old time refreshments too really made those days worth remembering. Those goodies like ice kpoki, balewa, fish head, bazooka and some financial tips.

Memory of a daily routine where the seniors coordinate the juniors round the school to pick any dirt on sight, waiting on Fridays after school hours just to blacken the chalkboard in preparation for another week and also a situation where one teacher teaches us all subjects cannot but be funny when remembered.
Growing past primary 1-3 ( junior) level adds more fun, the kind of joy and pride when you discovered that gradually you are moving to a rank where those below starts to call you senior xyz.
You will begin to remember how past seniors dealt negatively with you and how you too are going to deal a revenge on your juniors too, just to retaliate.
Collection of report card and rounding up of each academic term is another funny part. In some cases, report cards aren't released to we the student but to the parents. A situation of keenly studying daddy or mummy's mood after card check. When mummy or daddy smiles after checking your card, it means you've done well but when reverse is the case, it means don't just dare to follow them home because a near-death experience is awaiting you at home.
There are more to the fun than just my summarized writeup here which time and space might not permit me to write. But I'm sure some of my mates from the 80s here will really understand what it looks like, unlike the present computer age group.
If you belong to the 80s bracket, kindly add whatever I failed to add in the comment box below and let the funny memory continue.
Thanks.
