Such an odd concept, writing about oneself without knowing who will see it, what they will think or make of your words.
Nonetheless, I will try to introduce myself in as few words as possible (so hard to do when I am a complicated being who has spent 31+ years on a complicated planet).
I am (insert long blank-stare pause at my computer screen)...well, I am a woman. I am a child therapist. I am a daughter, a friend, a girlfriend, a cat mom, a poet, a dreamer. I am an only child (go ahead and stereotype me). I drive a Prius (oh, stereotype harder, why don't you?). I love people watching and often find myself getting wrapped up in strangers' conversations and dynamics in public...it's a rather quick way to kill the vibe on date night with my girlfriend. Oh yeah, and I'm in an interracial, same-sex relationship. We get interesting looks when we go out in public, but we have devised a brilliant plan of greeting said stare-ers with a triumphant "HELLO!" and sometimes an obnoxious wave. It's fun to make them uncomfortable. Now I've gone off on a tangent and this is no longer a brief introduction.
I over-think things, over-plan, over-analyze. I have the ability to "chameleon" myself to get along with just about anybody. I can be playful and super goofy...which comes in handy for work (I once had an entire conversation with a mute 5 year old's thumb. In my defense, it eventually got him to talk!). I believe in the power of love and I appreciate those who can find their strength in vulnerability. I crave a quieter, more peaceful, more spacious life. My girlfriend and I are moving from the city to the country in a few weeks with the hopes of finding just that...
I don't really understand the concept of this website at all....but my girlfriend told me to sign up because she is learning about cryptocurrencies and other complicated ish that my brain just isn't configured to comprehend. But I like to write, and she said this could be an outlet for me, so here I am. I will mostly bring ramblings, poems, and anecdotes to the table... Stay tuned if you're into any of that!
