TF2 Weapon of the Week: Spy-cicle

Apologies for the Late Post Tonight.

For this week's Weapon of the week i'm going to talk about one of Spy's Counters to a Class that Counters him.

Today is the Spy-cicle

This is a Knife for the Spy.

Once Spy is hit with any kind of fire attack, the Spy becomes fire proof for 1 second, and gains Immunity to Afterburn for 10 seconds.

However once you have been hit by fire, it Melts, Leaving the Spy without a Knife for at Most 15 seconds, though it can be instantly recharged by picking up ammo packs.

It also Turns people you Stab into Ice Sculptures, which will give away that you are using the Spy-cicle.

The Main Draw from this weapon is it allows you to Avoid a Pyro's Spy Checks, however once you are hit with fire, you will be unable to Backstab people till you can refill the meter.

As for Weapons that Pair well with this.

For your Primary, you should have a Primary that allows you to deal Great Damage when you dont have your Knife Recharged. The Stock Revolver, Ambassador, and the Diamondback, All are Great Choices that Pair well with this.

As for Watches, I would point towards the Dead Ringer, the Dead Ringer Basically allows you to Fake your Death if your Spy-cicle is not Recharged and you are against a ton of enemies. It can also Catch you if you mess up with a Backstab.

Any other Invis-Watch also Synergies well with the Spy-cicle, as the Spy-cicle can help counter Random Spy-checks.

The Biggest Tip I can offer for this is. Keep an eye out for ammo packs, which will recharge this weapon in addition to your Cloak(if you Happen to be using Stock or the Cloak and Dagger, the Dead Ringer does not Recharge with ammo Packs anymore).

And that is the Spy-cicle. A useful Counter to the Pyro that Spy has....for some reason.
