Mexican marble game

So we totally got pulled into this marble game. I’m not sure if it’s well known or not or if it’s a total con or there is a chance to win. But my friend came out to mexico to join me and on our first day we had this woman give us two free throws. I think not speaking Mexican didn’t help here but they said if we got to 100 points we could get 7,000 free pesos and our two throws got us 40. You added up the numbers from each throw and then matched it up against the number on the side. Some were points, some were free throws and some were negative points. I never trust anything like that and wanted to walk away as it was surely a scam. My friend is normally quite intuitive and was saying no I think we should have a few goes and I was like no way but I ended up thinking well 50 pesos is in the Uk under a dollar and I’ll just see it as fun gambling. Maybe it’s a language barrier but once we began playing they kind of gave a lot of the rules as they went. So when we hit 28 they basically give you a free throw and the prize money doubles but so does the amount you have to bet. Once it got to like 5 dollars a bet I stepped out the game but I had already spent about 50 £ because my friend really wanted to continue and I felt kind of bad about leaving her in the game alone and also because by this point we only had to get about 6 more points to win the pesos which, by this point was 60,000. I just knew something must be off with this game but maybe there was some chance and I was just manifesting badly. After I walked away my friend kept playing for a while and we were actually 1 point off the 100 but at that point she hit another 28 and that meant that it took 100 £ or something I throw the marble. At which point she quit the game too.

It sort of felt like squid game with slightly less drastic odds. 😂

I actually hate myself for even having the first go as although I guess it was fun for about 2 hours it was just stupid to spend almost 50£ on it. I’m sure those guys made a lot of money.

So anywyas now I’m eating this for the next two days till I make up the Money 🤣
