SOUND FOR THE SOUL
A piece of music can make us feel a whole spectrum of emotions just from the voice. It can help us process our emotions and affect our mood, for me all music is spiritual.
The idea of this post is I will share a piece of music that has inspired me and given me a big emotional impact and in the comments you can also share the music you heard recently that gives you the 'feels' and a few reasons why and how it connects to your journey. Hopefuly we will all find great new music together and things we wouldn't have listened to without this blog.
Today I want to share one of my absolute favourite recent finds, Mr Watson by Cruel Youth. For me the lead singer Teddy Sinclair, formerly known as Natalia kills sounds like a refined version of Amy Whinehouse. I love her voice, I love the lyrics, I love the production, I love the rawness but what really makes this song stand out for me is the cleverness in the lyrics. Mr Watson is a pharmaceutical company so what begins to be a song about love and an affair takes on new meaning as a lyrical ballad to anti-depressants and the seedy side to life in LA as an artist. The whole album +30MG is worth checking out, i hope you love it as much as me <3

I certainly like this sing as well as the general mood of the track. It is in the same lines as Lara del Rey that I really really like. My discovery last weekend was amongst others Amelie Lens. A Techno producer and DJ and had the opportunity to listen to her 2 hour set. I posted about her today, and included an 8 hour recording of her. Just check out my channel. I posted about Lana del Rey sometime ago. Hooverphonic is another band I really really like, a Belgium band.
Yes I love Lana del ray and hooverphonic I vinegar and salt was my fave must listen again :)
Super, you know Hooverphonic! One of the few bands I go and visit in little concert halls.

Amelie is totally something else, nothing to do with pop-ish music; it is Techno :) I still hope you like it since she stands out for me in the Techno genre and not so many do for me.
