My Actifit Report Card: September 29 2022

in Actifit2 years ago

Today I decided to head out on a route that I hadn't been on in over 2 years and is part of the very tough Prescott Marathon course. It was a tough run that had me huffing and puffing up long hills and racking up over 7 miles on a warm morning.

I didn't walk with my family as I wanted to just get out to run. So an easy first mile started my run as I headed out towards Prescott. I was stiffer than i would have liked so it wasn't too quick as I then started a long 3 mile stretch that had me climbing up tough Hassayampa Road to the crest of my route after which it was a much more enjoyable descent down into Prescott center.

I ended up stopping my run short of home so that I could do some quick shopping and then power walk home.
I'm happy with my total miles and my training load stabilized a bit although it's still a bit too high.
An easy 4 miles in the afternoon to loosen up a bit and then looking over my upcoming plans. I've entered a 12 hour "fat ass" trail race early in November for a different experience. A rugged and super tough rocky trail run near Alamogordo, NM that won't gain me a lot of miles but it's free and a chance to see what I can do on the trail.
