My Lifestyle Activity Review Week 2 For 25/08/2022 by @ukpono
As the clock ticks tick-tock-tick, my stories continue to unfold chronologically. The plot is so well structured, that it has an introduction, climax and resolution. Since I cannot share every memory created at once, I have decided to narrate it one day at a time.

Today's fashion was simple. A checked shirt with blue, green and white stripes on a pair of denim trousers. To give it a casual look, I paired the outfit with a pair of black leather flip-flops. The footwear is my favourite at the moment and has a way of boosting my confidence. Yes. Clothes define our emotions for the day and this is what I consider before donning any accessory, piece of clothing or footwear.
Feeling happy-go-lucky, I headed out of the house looking forward to conquering my challenges. That flip-flop makes me feel like a champion. Sincerely!
The weather was not looking bad either. In the morning, it looked bright — not cloudy and not sunny. Towards noon it got warmer but not scorchy. It was so perfect that for once I took a stroll to a spot where I spend time alone away from the house, without having to shield my skin from the sun. On normal occasions, when the temperature increases, I would have been seen using an umbrella. This habit earned me the name "mmakara" which means “a white person” in English. The Ibibios use this to refer to a person who cannot cope with the climate in Africa or stress. It also means “beauty” in another context.
On returning home, the clouds began to gather. It rained afterwards but is now trickling as I write this.
My primary purpose for visiting my favourite corner today was to have a quiet place where I could attend a webinar unperturbed. Since the webinar is organized by an NGO I volunteer for, it was my responsibility to ensure that I worked hand-in-hand with other members of the team to achieve a hitch-free virtual outing.
Last-minute activities can be exhausting but Google assistant came to my rescue. All I had to do was, turn on my mobile data, plug in my earpiece, ask Google a few questions whenever I got stuck, listen while it reads out the text then carry out a desired course of action. The effort paid out well. Everything went smoothly.
The secluded spot did not have anyone around and so I could not interact with anyone directly. However, while on the go, my attention was drawn to the brisk way everyone was walking. They seemed to be in a hurry to catch up with one thing or the other. Even the storekeepers who occupied the stalls by the sides of the road were either busy with another activity or attending to customers. My virtual friends are not left out as they all acted cordial and polite.
It has been an eventful day and I cannot explain the joy I feel. The peak was during the webinar. The speaker, Iberedem Umoh, spoke on something I could resonate with. He explored the challenges youths face and practical steps to overcome them. Participants got to ask a lot of questions and he provided intelligent answers. Acquiring relevant knowledge has a positive effect on one's well-being. It makes me feel so light and fulfilled.
To crown it all, I watched some kid's rhymes with my vibe partner when I returned home. This kid had a lot of fun. She danced to all the songs while sitting on my lap. When I asked her to take a selfie with me, she ended up laughing throughout. The pictures came out either blurry or her facial expression was out of the world. I managed to capture these ones though.
