My Entry, "Women in the Spotlight ✨" #04

Hello ladies!

Being in the spotlight can be very stressful because you have to do your best to be perfect. In the family, women are always in the spotlight. Nothing goes wrong, and the men would be blamed for it.

The women are the first people you notice in every family; I just wonder why God didn't make them the head. Knowing I'm a woman gives me a sense of belonging. As for being a mother, I am a potential mother.

But I can share my little idea on this topic...

I don't have a child of my own, but I know a few kids who love their tiffin filled with snacks. I don't know why they prefer snacks to food, but I think it's their nature.

Most kids I know are being forced to eat at home, but they will never return home with any drop of snack that they went to school with.

I have a friend whose son would always make choices about what he wanted for tiffin. He prefers juice, fruits, baked food, or chips. I noticed he prefers eating food at home, but his tiffin is always junk. Since my friend is a preacher of healthy eating, she bakes everything by herself and stocks her son's lunch pack.

I think kids generally love their tiffin light, although most kids just love to show off, so instead of food, they would prefer various juice flavors, different designs of snacks, and well-packed fruits.

Well, I think having a timetable would solve this little problem because I can't imagine waking up every morning to think of what I should give to my children.

I think this is my learning field. I noticed my friend had a timetable pasted on her kitchen wall. Every day of the week comes with a different list, so she doesn't have to bother her head over what the kids will be going to school with.

Women have so much lined up for them, and this also disorganize them from thinking straight about their children's tiffin. They might repeat four items in a week without even noticing. But proper planning could help with this very problem.

I don't have a child but I would talk about my colleagues child. His name is Michael. He is 7 years old and enjoys home made food, but for school, he loves simple and light dishes.

To my best of knowledge, Micheal happily eats

• Chips with Tea
• Rice and stew
• Toasted bread with eggs
• Pancakes (Nigerian pancakes)
• Garri with any good soup

I will share the recipe for our Nigerian pancakes

• Flour
• Sugar
• Eggs
• Milk
• Water
• Baking powder
• Pepper
• Onions
• Vegetable Oil

Instructions

• Sieve all multipurpose flour into a clean bowl. Add baking powder and mix together.

• Beat the eggs in another bowl

• Mix all wet ingredients together

• Mix the milk and sugar with water in a cup

• Pour all the wet mixture into the flour and blend well

• Add in the sliced onions and peppers to blend well.

• Add a little oil in a pan

• With a scoop add some portions of the mixed batter into the oil and fry on a low heat.

• Continue the steps until you've exhausted the batter.
