There are men who the scripture told us about, they are the patriarch of faith, men who has walked and work with God, they are men who received instructions concerning our faith, they are the.
In this article we are going to examine the lives of this generals in faith, there peculiar lifestyles and the holiness they kept, The sacrifice they made and the path the charted for us to follow, this is for our own learning so it is very prominent that we pay attention to this biography of the God's generals.

  • ABRAHAM: The bible recorded the account of our father Abraham from the book Genesis chapter 12Genesis 12:1 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee: 12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. 12:4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran. 12:5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.
The life of Abraham is a lesson for us to learn as the first son of his father who by right ought to have received his father's property and wealth but God said to him leave all this behind and go to a land i will show you, in obedience and faith he left all and follow God's instructions and he was never wasted for he has is the father of many nations. Let's explore the faith life of Abraham in faith trusted God, he never argue with God, even in the years of barrenness of his wife Sarah he was very faithful to God, and never give up on God
Also at a point in Abraham Sacrificing Isaac.PNGhis life he accepted the fact that he can never be a father again but, he never stops watching at the gate, he never victimize Sarah for their childlessness but was obediently taking care of her, till certainly he hosted the Angels of God on a mission, to destroy Sodom and immediately he learnt about it he began to intercede for them remembering his cousin lot, as a father he prayed for God's mercy upon Sodom and Gomorrah but unfortunately their grace was finished, but his intercession delivered lot and his family except lot's wife who disobeyed and look back to the city under the destruction of God.
Abraham hospitality gifted him and Sarah Isaac even in their advance years.
The only hope of God's promise to Abraham Isaac, the Apple of his eyes and the son of Sarah's old age was Lamb of sacrifice that God demanded from Abraham, at this point God wanted to prove beyond every doubt his loyalty and obedience to him in Genesis22Genesis 22:1 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. 22:2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. 22:3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him. 22:9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. 22:10 And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son.
Oh! What a faith and obedience to God this is the point that God was convinced that Abraham fears him, he was called the father of all nations at this point.
At this very point it is very Paramount if we will examine our own life and walk with God, who are you before God how much do you love and trust God, who is your loyalty and obedience to, how strong is your faith, can God confidently entrust a family in your hand let alone a nation, Abraham has more than 300 men who he kept and feed under his roof, is the plights of others a concern to you, how often do you intercede for others, can you give God your Isaac, can the next generation remember you for good can you be a hero of faith think about it for Abraham by faithHebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. 11:9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: 11:10 For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. 11:12 Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable. 11:13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. 11:14 For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country. 11:15 And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned. 11:16 But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city. 11:17 By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 11:18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 11:19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.
The next patriarch we will talk about is MOSES.
