Loneliness!!!!

I realise now what it truly feels like,
To be surrounded
And yet still be alone.
Trust!!!!
A broken shell that can never be repaired
A barrel between staying and leaving.

I use to think my life was perfect
The love !!The friendship!!
I prided myself that it was my greatest treasure.
But now
My eyes are open to see
That love is for the moment
And friendship too is for the time being.

What we truly have is ourselves and ourselves alone
Not each other but ourselves.
Betrayal comes only when we expect too much
Maybe it's just an imagination of self hurt
Perhaps my subconsciousness is playing a fast one on me
But before it all comes crashing down
Am going to hide back in my shell
Take shelter In my safe zone
With my new found motto
"EXPECT LESS AND HURT LESS
