In case you are new to this page, this is a lifestyle program that comes with many educational values. A weekly interview of top users/users in the blog concerning some trending topics on the Steemit platform. And tips that can help other Steemians to progress positively and help boost the Steem’s growth.

It will help you to get to know more about Steemians around the globe and even Steem and Steemit itself.

I take time to look at some of the most important topics in the blockchain and have a chat/call with top Steemians who have a greater idea about those topics.

They also share some tips that can help other users to understand the blockchain and correctly make use of it. Sometimes they seek valuable suggestions here to help them solve some of their challenges.

This Week's Interview was with a Journalist and lecturer from Indonesia who is known for his great works in the area of journalism, he is also a blogger here on the platform. I was intrigued by his past publications and activities on the platform, and I thought, It would be great to know more about him and to use him to mark the one-year anniversary of the interview showcase as a journalist. So, here we go with @ayijufridar....

@ayijufridar Responding to Interview

Ubongudofot
: Hi Jufridar, nice to have you on my show, a lot of users will like to know more about you, what can you tell us about yourself in one sentence?

🔶Ayijufridar: I am a journalist and writer who teaches journalism on campus while writing literary works and trading cryptocurrencies and stock trading towards financial independence.

Ubongudofot
: How did you hear about Steemit and why did you join?

🔶Ayijufridar: I joined Steemit in 2017 after hearing from a friend whose account is @muammar. Since then, I have almost never stopped posting articles and photos on Steemit for a long time. I am interested and consistent in Steemit because it is a place to channel passion. With that motive, I never get discouraged when I get low rewards for quality posts. As a national writer in Indonesia, I have the capacity to judge whether a piece of writing is of good quality or not.

Ubongudofot
: I read a lot of your posts and they are informative..much like content from a journalist. Does this in any way related to your real-life experience?

🔶Ayijufridar: That's right. I write based on experience, both my own and others' experience, and the results of coverage in the field..

Ubongudofot
: How far have you gone in journalism?

🔶Ayijufridar: I have been a journalist since college, being a correspondent for a youth magazine in Jakarta. Its name is ANITA Cemerlang magazine. Currently, in the journalistic competency standard, I have entered the leading standard or the highest. Apart from that, I am also a press expert at the Indonesian Press Council. In Aceh, there are only two press experts from the Indonesian Press Council.

Ubongudofot
: Has work ever made you leave your country before? And how was the experience?

🔶Ayijufridar: In 2012, the US Department of Foreign Affairs invited me to join the International Visitor Leadership Program. I visited several states in the US and wrote about the various meetings there. In 2020, I also have the opportunity to study writing at IOWA University. But the Covid-19 pandemic kept me from going to the US.

@ayijufridar at Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

Ubongudofot
: What's your favourite activities when you are alone?

🔶Ayijufridar: My hobbies are reading, writing, and exercising. That's what I always do.

Ubongudofot
: Do you think Journalism can play a major role on the steemit platform?

🔶Ayijufridar: Journalism can play a big role in Steemit if Steemian has standard skills in writing news, has a strong network, is able to map cases in the news, and understands news content in online media that relies on precision and accuracy. In addition, news content on Steemit needs to be synergized with other social media platforms. This strategy is also one way to promote Steemit..

Ubongudofot
: If you could travel anywhere in the world that you've not yet been, where would that be?

🔶Ayijufridar: I want to travel around Europe, such as Paris, Switzerland, Sweden, Italy and several other countries to make travel reports.

Ubongudofot
: What is your biggest pet peeve?

🔶Ayijufridar: We have pet fish at home, but my wife takes care of them. I choose reading over taking care of animals..

Ubongudofot
: What is your favorite song?

🔶Ayijufridar: I love Celine Dion songs like To Love You More, Gun N Roses songs and many more. I enjoy a wide variety of music, including classical music and often listen to classical music when writing.

Ubongudofot
: Have you heard any African music before?

🔶Ayijufridar: I once heard African songs when the World Cup took place in South Africa. I like it because African music is very attractive, and keeps us passionate.

Ubongudofot
: Yeah, I remember that song from Shakira. And I think you should listen to one of my favourite songs from a Nigerian artiste featuring a Beninese-French singer-songwriter

Yemi Alade, Angelique Kidjo - Shekere

Ubongudofot
: Outside of the blockchain world, what are your hobbies/interests?

🔶Ayijufridar: I am interested in the world of stocks and literacy.

Ubongudofot
: Whose Steemit blog are you most entertained by?

🔶Ayijufridar: I like several blogs on Steem Entrepreneurship, as well as travel because I like to travel. I should like Photography and the Culinary community too. But in Culinary, I see that there are too many troublesome rules. Even though I also often review food.

Ubongudofot
: Which user will you like me to interview in my show and why?

🔶Ayijufridar: Maybe some Steemians from Korea because they are investors who seem to be separated from other communities who grow in Steemit by working hard. How is Steemian Korea growing fast? Did any of them start without a large investment? What is their role in supporting Steemian in other countries?

Ubongudofot
: Good point. A few months ago, I had interviews with some Korean users, I still have some on my list though.

Ubongudofot
: What do you think can be done to attract more users from your country to the Steeemit platform?

🔶Ayijufridar: I used to initiate the Steemit Goes Campus program and I have done it several times. You can read my previous posts. We introduce Steemit not only to students on one campus but to students on several campuses. When attending various workshops in various cities in Indonesia, I also introduced Steemit. Promo Steem is an ongoing program that must be supported and get the curation it deserves. Unfortunately, some Steemians make Steem promo posts too simple, while other quality posts, apart from proper and satisfying curation.

Ubongudofot
: Some users come here, make money and leave till it becomes a habit, do you think this is healthy for the platform?

🔶Ayijufridar: Many Steemians that I used to know left Steemit and never came back, including in Indonesia. I invite them back to Steemit, but they are not interested anymore. It's not just a matter of low rewards, but a strong culture of nepotism in various communities, making them uncomfortable, and unfriendly for old users, let alone new users..

When promoting Steemit in various places, I mentioned that this platform provides ample space and time for us to develop passions, get to know new people, channel hobbies, document articles, photos and videos, and much more. Don't give promises of money and wealth in Steemit, it will discourage beginners when they see facts that don't match their dreams.

Ubongudofot
: Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

🔶Ayijufridar: I see myself as having achieved financial freedom, and being able to fulfil my dreams with my family and loved ones. I want to finish a number of pending novels and hope that these novels can be made into blockbusters.

Ubongudofot
: What is the most difficult thing you've ever attempted to learn?

🔶Ayijufridar: Hmmm, The hardest thing for me was beating myself up, if that's what you mean. But in terms of skills, I have had difficulty completing fiction books that have been delayed. To start over, it was very difficult.

Ubongudofot
: Do you have any message to the steemit team?

🔶Ayijufridar: I hope this platform grows and becomes one of the referral platforms for many people worldwide. For that, everyone has to move there. Quality posts must get proper appreciation, and to judge quality posts, people who are experts in their field are needed. We have to stop assuming that a curator understands all issues. How can they judge a post if they don't understand the issue? I've said that in various comments. It may sound unpleasant, but it's a reality that we must fix together. Steemit is a platform that belongs to us and that we must maintain to grow and develop.

Ubongudofot
: What can you say about the Interview Showcase, do you think it is interesting and should be continued?

🔶Ayijufridar: Interview Showcase is an interesting event, it needs to be continued by presenting speakers from various groups. Occasionally, it is also necessary to present speakers from beginners who have the potential to become big in the future. Other Steemian must like it because it's very close to them. Thank you very much.

Ubongudofot
