Childhood obsessions

When I think back at my childhood, I think about the many different phases I went through. I also think about cartoons I watched, toys I played with, and games I’d play with my friends.
My first big obsession was the Ninja Turtles! Even as a young girl, I remember being on the playground of preschool and playing with all the boys! I, of course, got to be April O’Neal! I had ninja turtle movies, action figure, books...you name it!
I couldn’t wait to share my enthusiasm with my children! I bought a couple of the “old school” DVDs for the boys...and was pleasantly surprised that they were into it! Technology wasn’t quite up to today’s standards...lol...I wasn’t sure if the animation would be too retro...The boys both still like the turtles...but, as time has gone on...they’ve found new cartoons and toys to be obsessed with.
My oldest son ( and the youngest now too) is totally obsessed with Ben10! It’s a pretty cool series about a boy who finds a magic watch that transforms him into aliens...This is actually an older series that had been revamped! So, needless to say, there are a vast amount of toys...both new and old, from all the different versions! My son knows the name of all of them...seriously. I’m amazed that my 4 year old can even pronounce these guys’names...There are dozens( if not more) aliens...and of course we “need them all”! Lol.
It’s actually cute to see how passionate the little guy gets. He does videos describing the different powers each alien has, he sings all the theme songs, collects the action figure...and now he wants his Father and I to draw them.
I am no artist...my husband is much better, but we both have our assignments.

His wall is filling up, and so is his toy box!

I do wonder...how long will this obsession last, and what might the next one be!? Time will tell!
