Mine Bitcoin for FREE using your web-browser

in #bitcoin7 years ago (edited)

Based on the java script technology of Coinhive, the website Faucethub is now offering bitcoin mining using your web browser. Actually, you're mining Monero (XMR) and then Faucethub convert it in satoshis.

With an intel i7 you can expect reach around 90 H/s. If you have a more standard desktop, you can expect to mine around 1000 satoshis per day. Of course, you can also directly mine xmr with a CPU miner, but if you have a Chromebook or you don't have the time to set up a miner, this could be a good alternative.

How much does it impact the CPU/memory usage in %?

You can adjust the number of threads. I have a macbook with 8 CPU, so by setting the miner to 4 , i'm still able to use my computer while i'm mining . And i'm running around 30 h/s.

I see. As long as it doesn't boggle down the computer as the one on the PirateBay it looks interesting to test.
