Two little creatures search for food in the dense green

I have been having trouble inspiring myself to finish anything lately; so I decided to just sit down and draw and see what happened. The below is what came out; Exactly what I wanted to draw with no other motive in mind. I might make a few others like this; it is freeing really. I have so many things I want to do and finish but the process just feels sad to me.

Colored pencil on paper with a tiny bit of photoshop. Below is how it looked before I applied filters; it looks more like the original with filters because the scanner doesn't quite catch the colors.

I hope they find food soon - they look emaciated!
yeah, got same problem with my scanner. When it really matters, like for major artwork, I have them professionally scanned. But also with the camera, depending on the light source etc it needs work in photoshop.

I have had some professional photographer but not scans. I should look into that. Thank you.

I know what you mean, I'm always scanning my sketches and then usually go over it again with digital pencil to enliven it or add to it before the painting begins.

I love the colours and when you don't know what to draw and sit and draw anything, it always leads to something, don't you find? If that makes any sense :)

Thank you. Sometimes I draw everyday and can't stop. Some days I just have to force myself. There is little in between I am a slave to enertia.

I find the hardest colours to capture with my scanner are turquoise too.

I've been doing a lot of doodling lately, with no particular idea in my mind when I start. It's fun to see what is created.

This is a very cool image, i like the character you have created.

Thank you. I have so many things I intend to make for a reason but I am stalled; in these times It feels better to draw for no reason at all.

Thank you. The wild freedom in your work inspires me.

Beautiful picture, @twirble ! Love the composition with the arching creature over the smaller creature, creating a feel of searching with their bodies leaning forward in anticipation of searching successfully.... <3

the colours are beautiful and dreamy, also <3

Ah thank you. They are two lost souls bonding in hunger. I wonder if they will have adventures.

It looks so lovely
it make me think of a story behind, like... as if the littlest creature was lost and when saw he the big one he started following it for curiosity and then over a little relationship ^^

Thank you. That is so sweet.

Beautiful piece.

I hope the creatures would finnaly discover what they were searching for.

Meet to, thank you.
