Mary With A Mustache
I removed Mary's unintentional mustache when I finally sold this piece, but now I wish I had left it. There are innocent maidens of every configuration that wish to be a part of ceremony, tradition and belief; as it is all part of the dance of life. We sometimes take to much for granted when we are not excluded ourselves. Not everyone else's happiness or experience is the same as ours.
Perhaps Mary was intersex and impregnated herself? Not sure if it is scientifically possible, but miracles do happen...right?

Perhaps she was knocked up out of wedlock and rather then being stoned for being a whore said it was Gods fault... I mean blessing. And Maybe because Joesphs lineage, they let her away with the lie. Maybe she repeated it till she believed it, till the child believed it, and grew up with a complex. No one to call his bluff, as he strode bravely around the desert in the prime of life convincing those who would listen that he was a god incarnated. Until he got a little to big for his shoes, started messing around in the temples, showing their hypocrisy. Then they had to pin up the little heretic bastard. I saw a great fresco of Jesus throwing over the tables in the synagogue, painted on the wall in Notre Dame cathedral, right beside a souvenir vending machine. Beautiful painting, and you should have left the mustache, just for Frank Zappas sake.

I wish I could draw a tenth that good. I also have noticed that realty need not be served in art.
