Chapter One - I Met A Glowing Person.

 

If anyone had told me there was such a thing as a twin flame two years ago, I would have probably been inwardly dismissive.  I'd simply have thought it romantic fantasy.  Not my kind of thing!  

This is my account of meeting my twin flame, and ultimately, of meeting me.  

Three years ago, before I met my twin, I let go of someone.  This person had been my boss and my mentor.  He was an extremely evolving and powerful influence on my life.  He helped me in so many ways. During the seven years we worked together I grew immensely and painfully broke many of the debilitating and self destructive patterns I had in my life.  The problem was that the relationship I had with my former boss was stuck.  I felt he was too dominating, he felt that I owed him.  I felt that he was trying to run my life and I wanted to break free.  I had stopped believing in his vision and I had to move on.  I had been feeling this for a long time but I had kept going back to him for guidance, support and inspiration.  

Then circumstances intervened and my boss, under some financial and legal pressures, had written a threatening letter to me.  I showed the letter he wrote to the police and I have had no contact with him since.

I did feel very nervous at that time, but I also felt guided.  I had a  powerful dream about seeing a giant shark and instead of being afraid of it, marvelling at it's beauty.  The energy I received from this dream was immense and it showed me that I would be OK.

I also look back now at the books I was reading at that time.  I read the first three books of the Dune series by Frank Herbert, Innocence by Dean Koontz and the very special Space Trilogy by C.S.Lewis.  All of these books look at humanity in it's unadulterated state and ask the question, what is it to be human?

My circumstances are that I am a 40 something year old woman.  I'm a single mother to a young boy.  I have lots of friends, have lived in many towns.  I have been married and divorced, I have done well financially and lost it all.  I care a lot about people and have a deep love of nature.  I'm very visual and I create a lot of art both physically and digitally.  I'm a bit of a hermit but I have a big personality.  I get on with pretty much everyone I meet but I struggle with my family.

So, in October 2015 a friend I'd made though my son's school invited me to join a community charity.  I went to a meeting because they were looking for new ideas for fundraising and I had a lot of cool ideas.

When I got there, there was a  woman Chairing the event and she was glowing in this golden light.  She reminded me of a beloved female cousin.  As I sat observing this, a thought that was not my own passed through my mind which was "She's on the hero's journey.  She's going to get everything she ever dreamed of."  And I thought to myself, she's a really special person, I should see if I could get to know her.  I'll ask her for a coffee some time.  And that was that.  The journey had begun.
