Optimistic Nihilism.

Most of my life, I've believed that life doesn't have a meaning, There is no purpose in life, but when a family friend asked me, "What do you think the meaning of life is?" I told him," Life doesn't have a meaning. That's why you give it a meaning." (I said something along those lines, but its been 4 years and the quote might not be 100% accurate, but it's what I meant. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ ) but that's really how I've looked at the world from there on out. Showed me that my view on the world had a name, which branches off from the philosophical term Existential Nihilism which in a nutshell means that life is meaningless. similarly Optimistic Nihilism while again being in a nutshell, means life is meaningless, the difference being, it has an optimistic point of view. Being an Optimistic Nihilist means you believe for that life is meaningless, but believing you should enjoy life, and find your own meaning. Through money, helping others. academic success, etc. Just thought I should share, have a good one. :D
