Wisdom 智慧

As information is vital to human beings and their life, the knowledge or skills of utilising the information is equally, if not, more important than the information itself. Take an example, today accurate data on any fields is obtainable through using new technologies. However, such data can be useless if we are not able to analyse or interpret it relevantly for decision-making or application. And the skills of using knowledge for good purpose is what is referred to as “wisdom”. When a wise decision is made, it will lead to a “wow” experience.
Nevertheless, how can we acquire wisdom or become wiser today? Personally I believe one of the ways, certainly not the only way, is by seizing the opportunity to be in the midst of the wise people. I can observe and learn from them. When the wise people are willing, I would seek counsel from them. Over the years, I have tapped into the wisdom of people, from both old and young, and from different fields. That is one of the ways I attempt to grow in wisdom. Therefore, I resonate with an ancient proverb:

“Where there is no guidance the people fall, But in abundance of counselors there is victory.”
(Prov 11:14)

Wisdom can be awesome like a mountain and amazing as the sky!
智慧如山之奇，妙如天空！

今天知讯对人類及生活具有極大的影响，然而如何应用知识比较知讯本身一样地，甚至更為重要。举个例子，今天可以透过新的科技而取得准确数据，有关数据若不加以分析及合適的应用將不会有任何用處。因此，善用知识的技能则可以稱之為《智慧》。一个智慧的决定将能産生正能量。
今天我们要如何取得智慧或变成更聪明呢？就我个人而言，我認為其中的一个途径，不是唯一的，就是要把握机会进入智者群，我可以观察及向他们学习。如果他们乐意，我则可以受教於他们。这些年来，我已经透过此管道向不同年龄的人，在不同领域獲取智慧。即然此方法有効，因此対下列古代箴言感同身受：

“ 無智謀，民就敗落；
謀士多，人便安居。”
(箴 11:14)
