Partnership 伙伴关系

There are different types of partnership, and the most intimate partnership on earth is between a husband and a wife. When a man and a woman coming together through marriage, they are two unique individuals being united as one couple. They are different from one another and this has also constituted a delicate relationship between both of them.

Generally, man finds fulfilment through his work yet he is in need of a teammate. Therefore, it is through marriage that a husband has been given a spouse, who is also to play the role as his teammate. They are equal though playing different roles within the marriage union. A wife is supposed to play a role to enable her husband to be more effective in doing his work. She is the helper, not a subordinate, but an equal partner, without whom, the husband is not able to fulfil his vocation to its full measure.

Indeed, there is no dichotomy between work and marriage. There are many husbands and also wives who invest too much time at their respective works at the expense of being together. Apparently, they need to give up some of their works to spend time together. However, this may not be ideal. When the husband or the wife has given up certain work, there is always a sense of loss, which may not be substituted by spending time together as a couple. The questions always remain, “Can they do something together that would bring fulfilment and satisfaction to both of them? What if the husband loves watching movies and the wife doesn’t? What is the decision if the wife loves shopping, but the husband finds it to be very boring?”

The ideal situation is that both the husband and the wife need to have a common vocation or mission. Each of them finds satisfaction in engaging oneself in such vocation. They both enjoy their common vocation and are enthusiastic to enable one another to be more effective in the works required by the vocation. When they are in this type of partnership, their time together becomes natural and fulfilling.

有不同类型的伙伴关系，在这世界最亲密的伙伴关系莫过于婚姻。当一个男人和一个女人通过结婚在一起，他们是两个独特的人结合成为了一对夫妻；因为男女的不同，这也构成了两者之间的微妙关系。

一般上，男人透过工作找到满足感，但通常他还需要一位队友。並且通过婚姻，丈夫获得了配偶，而这妻子便扮演队友的角色。虽然夫妻在婚姻中有不同的角色，但他们必竟是平等的。妻子通常扮演一个角色以促使她的丈夫能更有效地完成他的工作。她虽然是帮手，但不是下属，而是平等的伙伴；而事实上如果没有妻子，丈夫便无法有效地履行他的职责完成工作。

事实上我们没有必要把工作和婚姻进行二分法。不少丈夫和妻子在他们各自的工作上投入太多时间以致牺牲了两人在一起的时间。看起来他们需要放弃一些工作来共度一些时光。然而这可能并不理想；因为当丈夫或妻子放弃自己某些工作时，总会形成某种失落感，而这种感觉並不能用夫妻共度的时间来取代。一些问题始终存在，“他们能一起做些什么以致两个人都有满足和成就感呢？如果丈夫喜欢看电影而妻子不喜欢该怎么办呢？或者妻子喜欢购物，但丈夫感觉这很无聊则要如何决定呢?”

理想的情况乃是丈夫和妻子需要有一个共同的使命或工作，而他们都个别喜欢共同的工作，他们也热衷于在一起使彼此的工作变得更加有效。
