How do we relate to our country as well as our home?

Having a righteous and gracious country is only an ideal, because we generally do not love our country as much as our own home. In fact, we do not think of reforming and transforming our country if our home has not been affected negatively by poor national leadership. When a country ceases to have a promising future, those families which could afford to migrate are likely relocating themselves to another country. If they cannot migrate, they are more prepared to help reform their existing country for their children and future generation.

We should inculcate our love for our country, a land given to us and our neighbours. Loving our neighbours as ourself is a universal command, which affects everyone. It is much more difficult to love our neighbours than our own family members. Instead of taking advantage of family members, we are prepared to sacrifice to give them the best possible. However, people succumb more easily to steal from the country or public arena to serve their own family.

Today our country and our home are closely knitted together. And our fellow countrymen and women must inculcate love for one another if we call our country as our homeland. We love our own families, we should also love our country, which is made up of our own families and our many neighbours. Unless and until we learn to love our neighbours as ourself, our dream of having a better country will remain only as an ideal.

我们该如何把我们的国和家联系起来？

要拥有一个又公义又亲切的国家诚如一种理想，因为我们一般上都不会爱自己的国家如同爱自己的家庭。假如我们的家没有因为不良的執政而前景不佳，我们大概不会想到改革和轉化国家。当国家没有了光明的未来，不少有能力移民的家庭会计划迁往另一个国家。如果不能移民，他们会更乐意参与改革国家，並期待兒女和未来的一代能够有一个好的家园。

我们应该灌输爱国的意识，而且这正是我们家人和鄰舍的国土。爱邻舍是一道具有普世价值的命令，而它也影响我们每一个人。爱我们的邻舍较比爱自己的家人难得多。我们基本上不会剥夺家庭成员的权益，反而常常愿意为自己的家作出牺牲，並尽可能给予他们最好的生活。因此，把家看得比国更重要的人还会陷入诱惑，想把原属於国家或大衆的作为自己家人的用途。

今天，我们的国和家已经紧密地结合在一起。如果我们称国家为自己的家园，我们的国民就必须互相灌输爱的意识。我们要爱自己的家，也要爱自己的国。事实上，这个国家是由我们的家庭和许多邻舍所组成的。除非我们愿意学习爱邻舍如同爱自己的家，否则我们所梦想要拥有一个更美好的国家只能是一个理想。
