Data is vital for an organisation to ensure its effective growth. However, there is a possibility that any organisation has collected data without doing appropriate follow up. Hence, the collection of data is a waste of time and resources. For example, the data collected is about the membership, number of clients, income, expenses etc. Failing to utilise the collected data renders the data to be useless.

One of the ways to utilise the data is by doing the SWOT analysis pertaining to the status of the organisation. By utilising the data, we are to find out the Strength and Weakness, as well as the Opportunity and Threat of the organisation. Having assessed the data using the SWOT analysis, then the organisation can plan and prepare to implement certain objectives and measures for the good of the organisation. Certainly, collecting and analysing data should be part of the process for the growth and attainment of the goal of the organisation. It also means that data being analysed must be translated into action plans, without which, data is useless.

数据对于一个组织的有效增长是相当重要的；然而一个组织可能会没有应用收集到的数据进行适当的跟进。因此，收集数据便一如浪费时间和资源。例如，收集的数据可能是关于成员情况、客户数量、收入、开销等。如果未能利用收集的数据便会导致数据毫无用处。

利用数据的方法之一即是进行SWOT分析以了解组织的状态。我们要找出其強项和弱点，以及组织拥有的机会和面对的威胁。在使用SWOT分析数据后，该组织可以计划并准备实施某些措施，以实现组织的目标。显然收集和分析数据应该是一个组织取得增长和实现目标的过程中的一个行动，这也意味着被分析的数据还必须转化为进一步的行动计划；如果缺少了行动计划，数据就变成没有什么用处。
