A New Door 新的一扇门

Unexpected things may happen in life causing much uncertainty. However, when a door is closed, a new door can be there. Although anxiety is caused by uncertainty and helplessness, a new door is an opportunity for a blessing in disguise.

In a fast changing society, people may lose jobs from time to time. It is certainly not good to be jobless. But it may be a time to get a new job with better prospect if the person has chosen to be optimistic rather than pessimistic.

There was a man being detained politically. The door of freedom was literally closed. But during the detaintion, it gave him an opportunity to learn an important language, which has proved to be critical to his political career after his release. The detaintion was an opening to a new door.

According to a Chinese saying, “There are up to eighty or ninety percent of undesirable things in life.” Nevertheless, it is wise to lay hold of another saying, “When God allows a door to be closed, He opens a new door.”

如果出现了意想不到的事情，就会造成生活中的不确定性。然而，当一扇门关闭时，可能新的一扇门正在被打开。由于不确定性和无助感会使人焦虑，但新的一扇门将会如同一个因祸得福的机会。

在瞬息万变的社会中，人们可能会不时失去工作。失业乃是不如意的事情；如果失业者选择乐观，他必竟会比悲观者有多一份的机会踏入新的一扇门。

有一名男士面对政治上的拘留；实际上他的自由之门已经被关闭。但在拘留期间，他却把握机会学习一种重要的语言，这种语言在他获释后的政治生涯發挥了正面的影响；因此他的拘留無異是他的一扇新门。

中国人的一句话谈到了”人生不如意事十之八九”。然而却有另一个说法是，“当上帝允许一扇门被关闭时，祂会开啓新的一扇门!”
