The cicada in the park
Hello friends of this community for those of us who love nature.
I want to tell you that I went to a park near my home. I want to tell you that I went for a while to a park near my home and when I arrived I sat down in a little corner of the park, closed my eyes for a moment, and when I opened them this is what I found - or what I found.
The cicadas sang above, and below, the old skin was left alone like a testament to another life.
There comes a time when the cicadas, after having climbed a tree, break - with a fine cut line - the shell that protected them underground for approximately 13 to 17 years. That is when they can open their wings and start a new life.
It makes me think of us, of the times we have had to spread our wings and break out of the old forms that protected us when we needed it.
In parks inhabit varied ecosystems and species, even if they are urban, you can also connect with nature in a contemplative and healing way 🤗.
