Grunt foresaw the attack with his 'instincts' way before Adolash even made it on the other side of the collapsed bridge. Somehow, seeing an incompetent giant with a skilled esper and a strong human pisses Adolash.
With quick thinking Grunt activates his shield again to grow spikes and to spin rapidly. With his spinning shield Grunt made a cicle on the earth beneath him. Then Grunt stabs the encircled earth with his spear.
Grunt then jumps to reach the top end of his spear while the blade is burried in the encircled earth. After holding in the end of the spear, Grunt puts all his weight to bend the spear causing for the encicled earth to be catapulted to repel the thrown black magic of Adolash.
"Pooooom", the collision of the earth and the black magic caused an explosion making Moggy unseeable in the dust clouds caused by the collision.
Sarah lost focus in lifting Moggy with her psychic power and made Moggy slip a little from her telekenisis.
"Focus esper, I'll handle the trigger happy magician"
"I don't get it human, why let thrash like that join you?", Adolash asked in a mocking manner.
"I didn't let anyone join into me, and I didn't joined to anyone", Grunt replied.
"Then why put effort into saving that 'thing'?", Adolash asks again.
"I didn't saved the giant, I saved you from being forfeited from the event", Grunt points his spear to Adolash.
"I saved you so I can kill you for myself with my spear", Grunt stated confidently.
For some moment, Adolash went into silence. Moggy has now been successfully transported into Grunt and Sarah's side of the collapsed bridge.
"Haaahaaahahahahahaha", Adolash has now been drowned in his uncontrollable laughter. His laugh is a sign of excitement, acceptance of the challenge and respect. What a guy is this human is for asking a top tier contender like him in such a manner?
After Moggy has been landed safely in the ground, Sarah felt tired and sits out of exhaustion. She then closes her eyes and faces at the sky.
"Giant, carry the esper, I'll walk from here", Grunt ordered again like a 'boss'.
"Human!", Adolash shouted making Grunt and Moggy look at him.
"You made my day!", Adolash screamed in excitement.
The three then continued their way towards the temple.
