Turkish artists - Hoca Ali Rıza (1858 – 1930)
Hoca Ali Riza Efendi, one of the most prolific painters of Turkish Arts, who was awarded by Sultan II. Abdülhamid with the Nişan-ı Majidi, died 87 years ago.
Despite the fact that his works are known and recognized by everyone, the personality and life of Hoca Ali Riza Efendi is not known to many people.
Hoca Ali Riza is not the first painter painting landscape pictures as a turkish artist but at that time of his living, he was the first Turkish painter to came out of palace gardens and painted at the countryside and at the beaches like an impressionist.
The attention to detail and the color information he showed are the different spots of his style.
There is a poetic style in the pictures.
As in this pictures i post, all the landscape paintings have blue and green weights.
He used the figures as a dimension determiner in his drawings.
Hoca Ali Riza has added a western style to his painting, though he has never been to Europe and has not seen impressionism.
