Poetic Summary of a Book - Redeeming Love - Francine Rivers (Part 2)
She was not surprised at his question,
A lot of customers have said the same,
As soon as they enjoyed the bait,
"He is not different", so she thought,
But he disproved her,
He never gave in,
He was tired, yet persistent,
Discouraged, yet resilient,
Though handsome, able-bodied,
With every single lady at his beck and call,
He clinged to the divine call,
He couldn't see the end,
Yet he knew the Guy who know the end,
Again I ask - would she ever change?
Yes, she was high priced,
Highly sought for,
Yet she worked for a 'Dame',
Who was in charge of the brothel,
And helped her 'save' her money
Now is the time,
She wants to own her own brothel,
And become a 'Dame',
Like her boss,
And off she went,
To ask for all of her 'savings',
But she got a shocker!
The deadliest beatings of her life,
By the Dame's guard,
Right in her room.
Laying in her own blood,
Half conscious,
She saw a figure coming towards her,
It was him!
In mixed emotions and probably his last trial,
He bent and asked again - Will you marry me?
Of course, what will a 'no' do at this time?
Marriage wasn't a plan,
She just needed to get better, at least,
And forge on,
So she mumbled a 'yes',
He dipped his hand in a pocket,
And brought out a ring,
Held a Bible,
Said some vows,
And right in her bloodstains,
And few co-workers of her,
In her room,
The wedding happened!
And again, I ask - Would she ever change?
So he courageously whisked her away,
Against all odds,
To his simple abode,
Miles away from the brothel,
To him,
The past never mattered,
A simple 'yes' has changed everything,
But will she ever change?
...to be continued...
