Convincing friend to come on steem. Why is it so hard?

I was talking to all my friends and family about steem but i only convinced one person to join steem. Are you also having problems convincing your own friends to join this platform. I dont really understand their reaction even tho i explicitly show them everything they need to know. I always seem to stumble upon the same answers: i dont have time, i am too busy . They are not skeptical about the payment system but for some strange reason they still prefer facebook over this.
Is the mirage of facebook with picture sharing, games and all that flashy things more important than financial wealth for people?
