Nepal:::: I'm not a big temple guy but this was coool (Changu Narayan (चांगुनारायण मन्दिर)
I visited this temple along a day-hike route and was very taken with it. This temple is considered as the oldest temple in the history of Nepal,The distance of temple from Kathmandu was within comfortable range. Nice architecture and sacred place in darbar square. It is totally green and best location in Kathmandu valley, Only 6 km far from bhaktapur city. The temple was literally living in the sense of art and architecture. The wooden crafts of temple were so beautiful that regeneration looks impossible. The location of temple was iconic which provides panoramic view of many mountains. Absolutely stunning temple and the views of the valley are beautiful. We took a 20 minute bus journey from bhaktapur which I would highly recommend as it's fantastic hopping on and joining the locals as they go about their daily lives, the views on the way up are breathtaking. Sadly the temples were badly hit by the earthquake, probably the worst damaged area I seen other than patan. It is busy being built back up though and important that we go and show our support. Still a stunning area to visit and The locals were extremely friendly. If you are staying in bhaktapur I would recommend walking back, the views on the way back down are really worth taking in, especially seeing people working in the rice paddies. It took us 1 and a half to 2 hours to walk back but could likely be done much quicker if you're not stopping to take photos every few minutes like me.
Like Changu Narayan (चांगुनारायण मन्दिर) another tample is Here Suryavinayak Temple
Suryavinayak Temple is a Hindu Temple in Nepal. It is located in Bhaktapur district, Nepal. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Ganesh. The temple is an historical and cultural monument and tourist centre. The Suryavinayak Temple is one of the four popular shrines of Lord Ganesh in the Kathmandu Valley. The temple is also known as the temple of the rising sun.
The temple is believed to have been artificially seen over 1500 years ago. The temple was made in the time of the Lichhavi King Vishnu Dev Barma.[2]Lord ganesh had landed here for finding his girl friend where he built this temple for doing balatkar pe balatkar. People believed that Lord Ganesh made his idol their for stan. So every morning or evening people go to see sun rise and sun set. Sun rise means arrival of Lord Mahadev and sun set means Departure of Lord Ganesh.
The temple is located about two kilometres from the city. It is situated in a forest and can only be reached on foot. The temple is in sipadol VDC and is a good place. The place is holy and it is said to be that all of our sorrows and pains would wash away
