Like most red-blooded Americans, I love cars. The problem is that I consistently overextend myself into loans to get the best car.

I show up to the lot with my game face on. I will get a great deal. I spend the ride there listening to 80s hair metal mentally preparing myself to win.

And somehow my emotions take over and I end up driving home a Hellcat with a 72-month loan at $1,100 per month. Wow, what happened? The average price of a new car has risen to $47,000. Wild.
