Its actually only way to do things successfully looking at it longterm. Every pretending, a** kissing and similar things are harder every next time you do it until you eventually explode.As for me I don't plan to do so even with my steemit experiance. We all can follow million people we don't care about and want them to follow us even if they don't care but what for? Steemit is like life do the things you love and you are best at and see what happens..don't run around kissing a**es..I like the mentality you share- followed and upvoted!
It really just comes down to one very simple truth: the best , most powerful version of oneself is to be true.
As you alluded, every time we kiss-a**, we lose a little bit more self-respect and there's a good reason for that. Lies and deceit are sinful. That's to say, they act against conscience. To in any way behave against conscience is to weaken oneself.
Totally agree, I was always amused and crushed at same time when I realised how I could go for hours telling people LIES on how their actions aren't so bad when they were but was never able to tell that to myself in front of mirror. Point is if you are rational being you can't lie to yourself, so why would you to others? But it only makes sense when you ask yourself that for real before its nothing and I guess that is actually another intresting topic as i feel I went too far from original topic. Anyways, keep spreading truth.
