Take me somewhere nice- Kraków
„She is happy again, told me her friend. It was night before first trip of two old friends started.“
Kraków is the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. And why was this trip important for me? Because it was my first low- cost trip and I fell in love. It was year 2016, probably february. And since that time, I started travel and love a lot.
And what I have learned in Krákow? There are no rules in low- cost travelling! Only one thing you need is your backpack. Now I will give you few recommendations.
NUMBER 1- accommodation:
experience of sleeping in hostels are great. You meet lot of positive people, who explore city like you :) My first hostel ever was called Havana Club. It was comfortable, cheap and breakfast included. Havana is owned by young Poland guys who are cool. You choose if you wanna private room or dorms. Difference is in price and privacy. Attention! Every hostel have policies.
NUMBER 2- maps:
before you travel, download offline maps into your mobile! We are living in modern age. I am recommending you to find local turistic maps, mostly part of turistic guide. Available in turistic centres, airports, hostels, train stations etc. It is easy way, how to find interesting places, historical monuments and knowing buildings, because they are printed on map. Plus you can write notes and you have great memory!
NUMBER 3- mascot:
yeah have a mascot, you will be more cool and weird than ever before!
NUMBER 4- transport:
try local public transport or rent a bike! IWhen you travel in public, you are like a homie, but if you have a bike, you have freedom! For long distance rent a car. ( to explore nature, neighbourhood...)
NUMBER 5- personal transport:
it is not bad to take your own transport, if you decide to visit one city. But if it is travelling around regions of country? Hmm I don´t know. It is up to you. Better choice is rent motorcycle, car, bike, use public transport etc. When I wanna explore city, I vote longboard! It is quickly, you easily take it by hands and you can put it on your backpack.
NUMBER 6- national specialities:
don´t forget savour local food!
NUMBER 7- monuments and old knowing buildings:
have a meeting with plenty of tourist close to monuments and old knowing buildings. If you are lucky, you will have nice pic that you can show to your family and friends... Honestly I´m not fan of overcrowded places with milions selfie sticks :)
NUMBER 8- alternative hipster:
find alternative place and just chill. Have a coffe break and be surrounded by magic of the city. Mostly I love these secret places.
NUMBER 9- travel with friend:
we know it is big experience when you travel alone, but isn´t it pity? It is lovely when you share your memories with your travel colleague.
That is all my dear steemians! Hope you enjoyed content :) Have a nice day!
The person on the last picture really changed my view on life and Krákow was first step. She has the soul of a gypsy, the heart of hippie, spirit of a corvus! I will never show you her face ;-)
There is something inside she and it is hard to explain...
