YellowFlowerDay contest by @Petals - "Golden Petals."
Today I am posting two types of flowers, both of whom feature glorious, golden petals.
This is my entry for @yellowflowerday ; which is one of the contests initiated and organized by @adrianobalan and @sardrt called, @petals
These lovely flowers are called "Vireya Rhododendrons," and although they have been cultivated for hundreds of years it is not until recently that they have been introduced as garden plants as bushes, on patios or in hanging baskets. I love their beautiful stamens which feature shiny bead-like tips.
Yellow cosmos flowers create a blaze of glory during the summer months and attract a variety of butterflies. They look equally appealing in vases as in gardens as they can hold their beautiful heads up for long periods of time.

Very pretty flowers. I've always appreciated yellow flowers above other colors. I've got a young yellow rose bush I'm hoping made it through the winter.
I think the combination between yellow petals and green leaves is very appealing @marxrab It always amazes me how plants can survive a long, cold winter and bloom again in spring. You won’t be sad to see the end of the snow will you ?
