Daily Digital. African Daisies.
African daisies are quite spectacular with their colours, shapes and textures. African Daises (Osteopermum) originate from South Africa and are often called Cape Daisies or Blue Eyed Daisies. Many of the central discs have a metallic appearance. Their leaves differ according to their variety and can be lance-like or broadly ovate and smooth, toothed or lobed. The petals on this type of daisy radiate out and feature tubular, spoon shaped tips. They are bold and graphic and available in a wide range of colours.
African Daisies have become very popular in recent years for their cheerful and colourful beauty as they brighten up borders, gardens and pots wherever they are displayed. African daisies bloom abundantly in full sun and are frost hardy, drought tolerant and make excellent ground covers.
I used a soft textural digital effect to my original photo which enhanced the already unique appearance of these lovely daisies. I hope you like this creation.

These are pretty. I even like their name. African Cape Daisies....because of their shape. I'll bet they are like that so water will dribble down into the plant instead of rolling off.
