CALOUNDRA SEASCAPE.
This is my entry for Thursday's #ColorChallenge by @kalemandra
This scene was captured at one of the many beautiful coastal locations around Caloundra in Queensland, Australia. The tide was coming in, the sun was warming the early morning atmosphere and the seabirds were gathering at the water's edge for their breakfast. Digital processing was applied to my original photo to achieve this contemporary, semi-abstract look. This picturesque, beachside city is only one hour north of Brisbane and boasts six different beaches, so water activities play a big part in the area. Activities include diving into ocean waves, paddle canoes on calm inlets, surf the breaks, fish from jetties, the shore and the sea, kayak, jet ski, and wind surf.
Caloundra is situated in the Sunshine Coast and is well known for its breathtaking coastal headland. It contains a variety of interesting coves and appealing sandy beaches. There are so many attractions to see such as an open amphitheatre, a golf course designed by Greg Norman, (famous Australian golfer) a large bathing pavilion, historical sites and so much more. And a short drive from here is the world famous Australia Zoo.
This is beautiful and the edit makes it look like a long exposure.. ^_^

You're very kind Barbara. I just love your fabulous artwork bringing life, humour and fun to our pages. Thank you so much for those special touches. xox
I love the edit! You have become so proficient at it!
Thank you Denise. I love the variety that digital processing gives me.
Nice capture, with great color. I wish I were there, instead of freezing in Minnesota! Interesting rocks, too. What causes the strange lines on them?
Hi @fotosdenada Thank you for your lovely comments. It was an extremely hot day here today. Wouldn't it be good if we could have a bit of both kinds of weather in the one day? The strange lines are the result of a light texturized digital effect I applied post edit. I like playing with textures etc as it creates a unique look.
