Games Released on July 24th

This is a list of the games released on July 24th. This list is by no means "complete" as it is compiled by me from years of finding release dates on the Internet and making note of them. This is an ongoing series. If you have made original content for any of these games, please let me know in the comments so more fans can find out about some good games.

Alien Syndrome (PSP, Wii) (2007)

This was a reboot of sorts for the franchise that Sega had all but forgotten for years. What I would have given to see this game given a chance on the Sega Dreamcast. Sony Playstation Portable and Nintendo Wii owning fans were treated to an updated 3D overhead action adventure. Gather the people from the levels, destroy all of the aliens and find the exit. Sega used to know how to make some good arcade style games. Too bad now they only know how to make Sonic games. Both versions are very similar, with the PSP version being portable (duh).

The Ant Bully (Windows, GC, PS2, GBA) (2006)

Based on the movie of the same name, this game was a 3D action adventure collectathon that was prevalent in gaming for many years (since the release of Super Mario 64). Generally accepted as an "okay" game, the Game Boy Advance version is an overhead action adventure that follows the movie fairly closely as far as plot points.

Mechwarrior 2: 31st Century Combat (PC) (1995)

Giant robot action doesn't get much better than Mechwarrior 2: 31st Century Combat. We are talking tactical 3D battles, blowing stuff up real well and surviving by the skin of your teeth.
