Ever the Artist

Writing is something that is highly undervalued in our society today. In fact, it is an invaluable skill that every human should take advantage of.

It's something that is not well-taught in schools, in my opinion.

I can remember back to the days when I was in school and I hated writing. I hated the fact that teachers would hand out prompts and ask you to write on some boring and dull and generalized subject that had no personal meaning or connection to my own life.

And thus, I came to the conclusion that I hated writing. That I hated the act of sitting down with a pen and paper or an electronic app and writing down my thoughts on a subject.

Fast forward several years into the future and now I write well over ten thousand words a day and I love each day that goes by when I get to write and clarify my thoughts.

Writing gives true meaning and form to our thoughts.

When I'm writing and I re-read and edify my writing and read exactly what I was thinking at different moments throughout my life, I realize something profound.

I realize a deep seated nature to be an artist of my mind. To create masterpieces for myself to enjoy. Masterpieces in the terms of clarity of thought. There is nothing that beats a clear mind, free to express and learn and feel.
