A Mom and Her Baby Enjoying the Cold Weather in Moscow - Peoplephotography by worldcapture Week #14
Good morning!
This is my entry for the People Photography Contest - Week #14 hosted by @worldcapture!
This photo was taken at a small park located between Kutuzovsky Avenue (Кутузовский Проспект) and the Kiyevsky Railway Station (Киевский Вокзал), in the middle of November.
As you can see it was so cold I couldn't even capture the girl's face on camera.
She has hidden inside a cocoon of warm clothes, just like her baby. I think she didn't even realise I took a photo of her. She was glued to the phone the whole time, with her high tech gloves... and the baby was very quiet.
What a strange scene. Definitely something I've never seen here in Portugal.
When it's just a little bit cold (< 10º C), moms are too afraid to take their babies outside. With negative temperatures? They wouldn't even dream about it.
But to see these differences between cultures is exactly what I like the most about travelling. If I wanted to see more of the same, I wouldn't leave home.

Hey @trincowski! Interesting photo and interpretation!
I like the way you use that image to note the differeces between portuguese and russian cultures climate wise. The way we understand "too cold to go outside" is laughable at the eyes of someone who lives in a country with a normal -20ºC or -30ºC.
The you use to travel? I haven't traveled that much, I confess I have the will and the courage, but didn't find a disciplined and organized way to prepare and plan a trip. Do you have any advice? Maybe you could talk about it in your next post. or in a series of them!

I don't plan very much. I book a hotel room, buy the airplane tickets and that's it.
Then I just explore the cities at random. Of course sometimes I have a few places marked on my map to check out but that's not very common.
NO SNOWWWWWW!!!!...... Well, in Ukraine you can also see this situation specially in Kharkov. This was also new for me when i came in Ukraine . Well, i also love travelling plus i like to see most place, people and culture ...
I was there for a week, it never rained... and it only snowed on the very last day.
You are lucky... because snow gross...... :P

В детстве скажут, что в не надо идти, потому что холодно, за -30... Мы руки в ноги и кататься с горки, играть вокруг неё во всякие игры.
во 2 классе на Новый Год ударили мороза за -50, родители на работу ушли, а надо идти на ёлку в школу. Это около 3 км... туман был такой, что в 10-ти метрах ничего не видно.
Ми во Львове после 20 почти не гуляем! У нас влажность высокая!
