A Day on Monterey Bay

This here is the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail in Pacific Grove, California. The Magic Purple Carpet sprawls all over the Pacific Grove coastline beginning in early April, lasting through May. The way the wildflowers push up to the ocean is neat because of the contrast in colors. The bright pinkish/purple flowers and the dark blue water. The weather always seems to be around 70-75 degrees in Pacific Grove.

I remember some friends and I built a little fire on the beach, just happy to be there, telling stories and having good times like nothing mattered in the world. We thought it would be a good idea to just crash overnight right there on the beach, so without much thought, we did just that. Woke up in the morning, jumped in the water, and went straight to breakfast. Good times on the bay.
