Our tax dollars hard at work
We pulled into a layby in the Buller Gorge to try and get some photos (but couldn't becaue the scrub was too high) ad who did we see sharing the bay with us?
These two cops were having a good old chin-wag without getting out of their cars.
To be fair, it was only about 3 degrees celcius, so staying inside their vehicles as probably a smart option.
And given the number of cops on the West Coast (4 1/2), this was probably the first time they had seen a colleague in a week or so.
It was a lovely drive in sunny weather with light traffic. It was pretty damned cold whenever we stepped out of the veicle though.
So now there is just one more day to go, and I'll be back home with my lovely wife, and my nice soft bed.
It's been fun week, but I'm realy looking forard to getting back home now.
Very nice nature you have out there in new zealand.
We sure do ;-)
