So depending on the type of issues experienced I would advise that you try out few of the troubleshooting steps that I would normally do in these types of scenarios.

  1. A group of users complain that they have no network access.
  • Check that the switch is online.
  • Ensure that uplinks are securely plugged in.
  • Check switch configuration
  • Test connectivity to the core.
  1. Users are getting the wrong IP address.
  • Check the vlan they have assigned to on their port.
  1. Intermittent connectivity to the network for one user.
  • Change the port on the switch.
  • If still an issue, replace cabling based on process of elimination.
  1. A user gets an apipa address.
  • Check the ip helper on the core, it needs to point to the DHCP server.
  1. Switch constantly losing its configuration.
  • Replace the switch if you cannot save

Thanks for reading and let me know if you had any scenarios worth sharing.
