Fifth Malaysia Plan RM25 Coin

Yes! Today I managed to find some time to sort out my coins collection. This is my fourth day and I just love this coin. Not as fancy as many others but I am happy with it because its mine nonetheless. Obviously, I do not have a very large collection per se.

Fifth Malaysia Plan RM25 Coin is today's pick. This is a proof version. As with my other proof coins, it comes in a blue velvet box with a certificate inside. The velvet box was actually enclosed in another white cardboard box not pictured.

The coin is encased in a transparent plastic casing that fits the coin nicely. The velvet covered box in which the coin case sits has a depressed center the size of the coin case so as the case sits snugly in the cushioned spot.

The front of the coin has the wording 'BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA' which translate to Central Bank of Malaysia and at the lower part of the coin is the denomination of $25. The center of the coin is the coat of arms of Malaysian emblem.

The rear of the coin is written 'RANCANGAN MALAYSIA KELIMA' which translates to 'Fifth Malaysia Plan' and the year 1986 - 1990 at the bottom.

The text inside the certificate is written :

'Certificate of Authenticity'

'This is to certify that this Proof Coin was mined by the Singapore Mint, Singapore under the authorization of Bank Negara Malaysia to commemorate the Fifth Malaysia Plan (1986-1990). This coin is legal tender in Malaysia.'

The certificate was signed by the Governor Bank Negara Malaysia and the General Manager of The Singapore Mint.

In our local language it reads :

'Perakuan Pengesahan"

Adalah disahkan bahawa Duit Syiling Peruf ini telah ditempa oleh The Singapore Mint, Singapore dengan kuasa yang diberikan oleh Bank Negara Malaysia bagi memperingati Rancangan Malaysia Kelima (1986-1990). Duit syiling ini adalah sah di-perlakukan di Malaysia.
