The Failing Democrat Party

Get woke, go broke. Politically.

I've been paying a lot of attention to political topics on social media lately. While doing this I was consistently reminded why I left the Democrat party and why many others like myself have fled and are still continuing to flee. The rabid leftists that still remain think that those like myself are just racists emboldened by Donald Trump that have now decided to come out of the hate-closet, thus pushing this voting block further away.

The media continues to do this. Day in and day out. Social media websites like Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube are also largely responsible for the woke culture. All of these platdforms ban, censor, and/or limit conservative viewpoints on their platforms. The narrative at all of these places is dominated by the left.

However, if you live out-side of this echo chamber circle-jerk you know this to be false. A simple look at past election data can tell you this. If you compare the 2016 and 2008/2012 results, it's almost as if the working class and independent voting block flipped red. These same people that were responsible for getting Barrack Obama elected are now constantly belittled and attacked by the party they once supported.

No platform.

While the Democrats continue to focus on meaningless things like trying to impeach Trump for non-existent crimes, they remain completely oblivious to why they lost in 2016 and will lose again in 2020.

Aside from alienating voters by calling them racists, homophobes, bigots, etc. they also lack any sort of direction as a party. Hell, even the single candidates on their own have no real foundation and their ideology is as structurally sound as Play-Doh. They're constantly competing with eachother to cater to a loud, radical minority in a never ending race to the left towards socialism/communism. They have completely abandoned everything that helped them hold the working class support for so long.

The Democrat party is currently having an identity crisis. The internal conflict has split the party in two and it's very unclear what the end result will be. As of now, the progressive wing is winning which is obvious when looking at the policies and programs the 2020 candidates support. Even the supposed moderates like Joe Biden have adopted some very far left ideas that would have been unimaginable 7 years ago.

What's next?

If we take a look at what has happened over the last few years I think it gives us a little window into what the future holds for the Democrats, at least in the short term.

The radicals will continue to assert their influence on the party and candidates. This shows no signs of stopping and will continue through the 2020 election. The radical policies and cancel culture will continue to alienate previous Democrat voters and push them to Trump or out of voting completely. The left and the media establishment will continue to attack Trump whenever the opportunity presents itself, thus deeping the already large divide in politics.

What comes after that? I have no idea. I can only hope that maybe after losing in 2020 the left will somehow come to it's senses and reform itself. Though, I really don't see this as too likely of an option.
