It’s in the rainforest of Queensland, it’s roots have been growing for centuries, for longer than any European even knew of the existence of Australia.
They are pretty cool, this one (curtain) and the Cathedral fig tree in the Atherton Tablelands region are pretty impressive. We live in Brisbane but when we have visit from overseas we often go for a couple of days in the Cairns are and this is always a must see! Does impress and you feel small next to it!
Wow that's a fig tree? Amazing
Haha yes it is! It’s covered in a parasitic tree plant which creates the vine effect though
Ok cool, they make it look like a banyan tree!
It is like a curtain. I love things that old. I find them mesmerising.
