Food Sharing #96 - Hokka Hokka @ Pitt Street Mall, Sydney

Hi Everyone,

The good thing working in the city is you can try many types of food from different places. One day could be Japanese, another day could be pizza. Today I’ll be taking you to a store which allows sit in or takeaway meals for their customers in the heart of Pitt Street Mall in Sydney CBD.

There are two sections where they sell ready made food and you pick and choose which one you want or the cooking bar which you pick and choose what you want and they cook it for you depending on the style you want. I really wanted some soup noodles so I decided to get a prawn, mushroom, black fungus with flat rice noodles.

Here are some of the more adventurous choices. The price was $14.90 as prawns cost an extra $2. The taste was average and for the price it is pretty expensive considering the rest (apart from the prawns is just vegetables). But I was craving for soup noodles so had no choice but to pay for the price. The other thing why it is expensive is rent in the city is not cheap therefore the meals around the food court is approximately the same price. If you want a cheaper option, you can choose to buy the ready made choices which you can save an extra $3-5 depending what you order.

Here are the ready made choices. Please note rice noodles is an extra $1. Rice noodles in Sydney is more expensive in most shops

There are plenty of seatings if you want to sit down but I prefer to take it back to the office and eat slowly and quietly.
